Ronnie & Paula Lyon
Ronnie and Paula are the owners of Nature’s Presence. They purchased Nature’s Presence on March 1, 2017. In 2014, Ronnie and Paula moved to Boerne from their home in Celeste, a small town northeast of Dallas, after Ronnie accepted a job offer with Axeon Specialty Products in San Antonio. They did not plan for the move to be permanent, but they fell in love with the area. Ronnie and Paula love to exercise and pursue healthy lifestyles. The purchase of Nature’s Presence was the perfect opportunity for them to personalize a local business to help others live happy and healthy.
Ronnie and Paula have three children, Kristi, Karen, and Kevin, and five grandchildren, Emmalyn, Jonah, Henley, Braylee and Mavery. Their son Kevin lives with them in Boerne.
Ronnie was most recently Senior Vice-President and General Counsel for Axeon Specialty Products in San Antonio. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from Texas Tech University School of Law, and holds both a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and a Master of Business Administration degree from East Texas State University. He has practiced law for more than 30 years with over 20 years of experience as an inhouse General Counsel. Prior to working for Axeon, he served as the Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary of Cap Rock Energy Corporation, Inc.
Paula is a former educator. She spent 20 years in education in various capacities. She was an elementary teacher for nine years and then transitioned into administration, serving as junior high principal, curriculum director, and then ending her career as an elementary principal. She received Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Education from Texas A&M Commerce and has a mid-management certificate.
Mimi Besson was recently the owner/operator of Piknik Café in Nature’s Presence. Mimi is the Director of Purchasing for Nature’s Presence. She has over 20 years of experience in food supply procurement, in foodservice, retail and school nutrition industries. She studied Eastern Medicine on the Pacific Coast. Mimi joined the Nature’s Presence family in 2017 and is excited about bringing new options to the growing and changing population in the area.
Judy Norman has been a part of Nature’s Presence for more than five years and in that time, she has been taught the extreme benefits of natural supplements. Enjoying good health for herself, the wellbeing of her family and countless others has been a constant goal for Judy. Each week she learns more about what each supplement can do to improve the health of her customers and their well being.
Prior to moving to Texas with her husband ten years ago, Judy spent her time earning a degree in Gerontology and a degree in Marketing, while raising five wonderful children. Judy spent over twenty five years as a Marketing Director for Continuing Care Communications in Southern California.
Carol Dudley has been a part of Nature’s Presence for over four and a half years. Her father was an osteopathic physician and spent the last 35 years of his 65 plus year practice as a nutritional doctor. He believed God gave us the ability to heal naturally and Carol was raised that way.
Becoming a part of Nature’s Presence provided Carol with the opportunity to use the valuable information she learned from her father, while learning even more from the knowledgeable staff at Nature’s Presence, to help others live a better and healthier lifestyle. Carol invites people to come by and let her and the other members of the Nature’s Presence family know if they can help or answer questions. Be sure and ask Carol about her father’s book.
Mason Schappert is the Director of Social Media and Inventory Management at Nature’s Presence. She has been working here for over two years and has always loved learning about natural supplements. With the knowledge she has learned at Nature’s Presence, she enjoys educating her friends and family about the healing benefits of plants. She enjoys the continuous learning opportunities from working at a health store, and enjoys the positive energy at Nature’s Presence.
Mason is currently attending UTSA to earn her BA in Digital Communications. Mason has also been practicing art for most of her life and has begun selling her artwork.
Becky Studer is new to the Nature’s Presence team but has been a faithful customer since her family moved to Boerne in December 2016. She has a BA in Exercise & Sports Science with a major in Health & Fitness Management, along with a minor in Business. Becky has spent her entire adult life in health & fitness, completing her college internship in Cardiac Rehabilitation in Austin, TX, and continuing to work in the field for five years. She has since worked as a Health/Wellness Consultant, and Exercise Coordinator for CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital in Corpus Christi, a Personal Trainer, and a Fitness Instructor.
Becky has enjoyed learning and educating others on the importance of exercise, natural supplementation, and nutrition to achieve optimal health. She loves spending time with her husband and two daughters, Isabella and Sophia, and is very involved within the school community.
Michelle Mock is new to Nature’s Presence. She enjoys sharing her knowledge of supplements to empower others to make healthy, sustainable choices. Michelle views nature as a healer and food as fuel. She loves to show others how mindful nutrition can transform the body, mind, and spirit.
Michelle is a performance vocalist and practices meditation. She is a rescue mom to her two dogs, Rhett and Juno, along with her cat, Mister.
Abigail Corona is a new hire to the Nature’s Presence family. She is excited to learn about natural and herbal supplements. She also enjoys learning about natural remedies that can help improve one’s health. She enjoys assisting customers and personally getting to know them. Abigail is grateful to be a part of Nature’s Presence and believes this opportunity will help her become more knowledgeable about natural supplements.
Abigail is fluent in Spanish and is currently studying Kinesiology at UTSA.
